NHS Blood Donation
An application to improve the current method of registering for NHS UK blood donation, making it a more social, informative and stress-free.
Persona board
I developed insights into people's motivation and behavior when interacting with medical apps. This helped inform the design to be as simple and fast as possible, seeing that the user wants to give blood but doesn't want to commit the time signing up.
Sketch development
I found sketching to be the quickest and most effective way to quickly test out ideas for elements of the apps design. I designed tools to quickly generate buttons and sitemaps.
User testing
The app was first tested and iterated with physical prototypes where buttons could easily be swapped, and the user could have a simple tactile experience.
Digital prototype
The final app layout was developed digitally using Axure with flows tested between different people to understand and eliminate pain points.
